Thinking Clearly in a Crisis: A discussion on making good family business decisions in a stressful environment

Join Drexel Morgan Capital Advisers' Erich Hickey, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Investment Officer, and Joseph Zaccardi, CFA, Portfolio Manager, along with Barbara Spector, Editor-in-Chief, Family Business Magazine. as they discuss the implications and impact of behavioral biases on your family business.

Behavioral biases impact every decision we make and many of us are unaware of our own biases. The uncertainty and stress created by the coronavirus pandemic has thrust us into an environment where our biases are magnified, and it is important to avoid irrational decisions, especially those which can have long lasting effects on our families, our employees and our customers.

We will discuss common biases that affect decision making, discuss how these biases may be impacting your businesses, investments and family dynamics, and suggest steps you can take to lessen their influence.

This webinar will address:

  • Our primitive brains:  heuristics and how biases influence our decisions
  • Common crisis induced biases
  • Making investment and business decisions during a storm of uncertainty
  • Recommendations for recognizing and combatting your biases

Join Drexel Morgan Capital Advisers' Erich Hickey, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Investment Officer, and Joseph Zaccardi, CFA, Portfolio Manager, along with Barbara Spector, Editor-in-Chief, Family Business Magazine, as they discuss the implications and impact of behavioral biases on your family business.
