Julien joined Vanguard Charitable in 2017. As a Philanthropic Development Specialist, Julien focuses on supporting Vanguard Charitable's most generous individuals and families through personalized consultation and service. Prior to joining Vanguard Charitable, Julien worked in corporate social responsibility for Aberdeen Asset Management. He has a passion for helping donors reach their philanthropic goals and educating clients on strategic and efficient giving strategies. Julien is a graduate of Trinity College and is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®).

Colleen Cashman, CAP®

Senior Manager, Premier Services and Strategy, Vanguard Charitable

Colleen Cashman serves as Vanguard Charitable's Senior Manager of Premier Services and Strategy delivering on a strategic plan to enhance client engagement and drive growth and donor retention. Colleen oversees a team of relationship managers who provide exceptional service to ultra-high net worth philanthropists, families, and corporations. Prior to joining Vanguard Charitable in 2014, Colleen spent a decade in New York City as a front-line fundraiser, grant writer, and events coordinator for The American-Italian Cancer Foundation and Parsons Dance Foundation. Colleen is a graduate of Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and holds a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® designation from the American College of Financial Services. Colleen resides in the suburbs of Philadelphia with her husband and son.


David Shaw

Publishing Director, Family Business Magazine

David Shaw is the publishing director for MLR Media. He also co-founded and serves as conference director of the Transitions conferences, the Private Company Governance Summit and Family Business Legacy. David writes frequently on governance issues for public and private companies, and develops and maintains close relationships with multi-generational family-owned businesses. He is married, with two grown children.
