Indonesia’s Bakrie family and their partner, Samin Tan, have withdrawn their demand for a meeting to remove financier Nat Rothschild and other directors from the board of PT Bumi Resources,
the
Financial Times
reported.
They said Rothschild can remain on the board if he steps down as co-chairman and stops being a “disruptive influence.” They plan to make their proposal at a board meeting scheduled for March 26, the article said.
Rothschild’s relationship with the Bakries soured after he called for a shakeup of the company, the
