Former Md. family farm to become 23-acre industrial park




A 23-acre industrial park is being built in Howard County, Md., on land that was formerly a farm owned by the Mears family.

report said

the property was among the last parcels of former farmland in the county.

The Terrapin Commerce Center is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2017, the article said. It will include two large warehouse buildings totaling 219,500 square feet.

The developer, Denver-based DCT Industrial, bought the land from the county last year for $6.275 million, the article said.

The project is being built by speculation, and no leases have been signed, the report said. (Source:
