Kevin N. Boardman, formerly chief pilot and director of aviation for Berwind Group, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of stealing $2.7 million from his employers' accounts,
the
Philadelphia Inquirer
reported.
Berwind Group is a Philadelphia investment firm owned by heirs of Edward J. Berwind, who co-founded the Berwind-White Coal Mining Co. in 1886.
The indictment alleges that Boardman submitted “false and inflated invoices” for fraudulent companies. He had flown Gulfstream 550 and 650 jets for Berwind, the article said.
Berwind Group's holdings include Elmer's Glue as well as drug, energy and manufacturing companies, the report noted. (Source:
