Ritz Camera set to liquidate




A bankruptcy court has approved Ritz Camera & Image LLC’s plan to liquidate. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June, its second bankruptcy filing in two years,

the

Washington Business Journal

noted.

The family-owned company, founded in 1918, failed to find a buyer that would keep its remaining 137 stores open. Two liquidation companies prevailed in a Sept. 6 auction, according to the report. (Source:
