The board of Sodexo appointed Sophie Bellon as chairwoman following a shareholders’ meeting on January 26. The French company provides “quality-of-life” services, including on-site services benefits and rewards services and personal and home services.
Bellon, the eldest daughter of company founder Pierre Bellon, will succeed her father as chairman. He will become chairman emeritus.
Sophie Bellon joined Sodexo’s board in 1989 and has been vice chairwoman since November 2013. She worked in the finance and fashion sectors in the U.S. after graduating from EDHEC Business School. She joined Sodexo in 1994.
