The Renfrew Center, a Philadelphia-based, family-owned eating disorder facility, plans to open its 18th site in Pittsburgh in the spring,
the
Philadelphia Business Journal
reported.
The new facility will be dedicated exclusively to the treatment of adolescent girls and women. Like the other Renfrew sites, it will specialize in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder and related mental illnesses, the article said.
Renfrew’s founder and president, Samuel E. Menaged, told the journal that there has been “a significant demand for services from the Pittsburgh area.”
Renfrew also is launching a new program that will treat patients who have diabetes as well as an eating disorder. (Source:
