Workman Publishing ousts its publisher as family takes larger role




Workman Publishing Co. of New York, publisher of

1,000 Places to See Before You Die

and

What to Expect When You’re Expecting,

has fired its group publisher, Robert Miller, who had been with the company since 2010,

the

Wall Street Journal

reported.

Founder Peter Workman’s wife, Carolan Workman, and their daughter, Katie Workman, are taking larger roles at the company, the article said. Carolan Workman is the corporate secretary.

Katie Workman had been associate publisher at Workman Publishing. She left the company in 2008 to help launch recipe website Cookstr.com, the
