Warm Socks for Those Cold Feet: How Prenups Strengthen Marriages and Protect Family Wealth

Marriage is about love, commitment and shared dreams, but for business-owning families, it also brings important financial and legal considerations. This webinar explores the reach and limitations of prenuptial agreements, and why they are best viewed as planning tools rather than insurance against failure. Weโ€™ll discuss how thoughtful prenuptial agreement conversations can strengthen relationships, clarify expectations and protect family enterprises.

Whether youโ€™re a parent, business owner or engaged couple, this session will demonstrate why prenups are increasingly viewed as a thoughtful, responsible and normal part of modern marriage planning.

Weโ€™ll take a look at:

  • Why prenuptial agreements are increasingly viewed as thoughtful planning tools, not red flags, for business-owning and enterprising families.
  • How and when to introduce the prenup conversation, including educating NextGens early and navigating the emotional dynamics involved.
  • What to include (and avoid) in a prenup, with a focus on family enterprise considerations, multi-generational wealth, and common misconceptions.
