Canadian furniture store closes after 110 years

Bustin’s Furniture in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, founded 110 years ago, will close in September,

CTV Atlantic reported.

Chas Bustin and Sam Withers opened the store, originally called Bustins & Withers, in May 1905. Bustin became the sole owner soon afterward, the report said.

Robert Bustin, the current president, sold the building last year to a developer. He told CTV Atlantic that he looked for a new location for the store but couldn’t find an appropriate one.

The closure will put seven people out of work, the report said.  (Source: CTV Atlantic, Aug. 17, 2015.)
