Columbia Sportswear reorganizes executive team

Tim Boyle, the third-generation CEO of publicly traded Columbia Sportswear Co., has been making changes to the company’s executive team,

the

Portland Business Journal

reported.

Bryan Timm, who had held the title of president and COO for two years and had been viewed as a potential successor to Boyle, left the company in May. Timm had previously served as Columbia’s controller, treasurer and CFO.

The journal report noted

that a release issued by the company “offered no details as to why Timm’s leaving or what he’ll pursue.” The announcement came shortly after the company reported a record quarter.

In June, Boyle made further changes to the management ranks, the journal reported. Jim Swanson, who had been vice president of finance, has been named CFO. He replaces Tom Cusick, who was promoted to chief operating officer.

Peter Rauch, who had been chief accounting officer, has been named as the company’s first chief transformation officer. He will lead Columbia’s transformation office, which was created earlier this year.

Swanson and Rauch will both report to Cusick, the article said.  (Source:
