Harbinger Capital reduces its stake in N.Y. Times Co.




Harbinger Capital Partners Group has sold 2.9 million New York Times Co. shares, reducing its stake in the company to 7.4%,

the Associated Press reported.

According to

a report on TheStreet.com:

Harbinger has steadily divested shares throughout the year. In April Harbinger disclosed it had a 9.4% stake, which was down from its 12.8% stake at the beginning of 2010.

The Times Co.’s stock price has declined 38% this year, the AP report noted.
