Highlights for Children has launched two magazines in India as a joint venture with children’s publisher Delhi Press,
Business First
of Columbus, Ohio, reported.
Highlights, based in Columbus, “already has a presence in more than a dozen countries and expects to launch a presence this year in Malaysia, Brazil and Hungary,” the article said.
The new Indian publications are
Highlights Champs,
for ages 6 to 12, and
Highlights Genies,
for ages 2 to 6. The magazines are adapted from the U.S. publications
Highlights for Children
and
High Five,
the report noted.
Highlights CEO Kent Johnson is the great-grandson of the founders. The company was founded in 1946.
The
Business First
article said that Highlights received a U.S. tax credit this year for expanding its staff after launching
High Five
and
Highlights Hello
