N. Ireland sporting-goods company acquires Scottish rival




McMurray Sports, a sporting-goods company in Northern Ireland, has agreed to acquire Gilmour Sports of Scotland for an undisclosed price. Both companies are family-owned and specialize in field hockey.

McMurray Sports operates the online site Total Hockey and serves customers globally. The company is owned by brothers Alan and Steven McMurray. The company was founded as a fabric retailer and began selling hockey equipment in 2001,
