PSA Peugeot Citroën is in talks to sell “a significant stake” to Chinese automaker Dongfeng,
the
Financial Times
reported.
Peugeot is undergoing a restructuring “to address heavy operating losses and rapid cash burn” amid a steep decline in European car sales, the report noted.
Peugeot and Dongfeng already have a partnership that operates assembly plants in China, the
FT
article said.
The French government might object to a large dilution of French ownership of Peugeot, the report said. (Source:
