Magazine, has been named as the 2018 recipient of the Barbara Hollander Award, an award for professional achievement presented by the Family Firm Institute (FFI).
FFI is a global association of advisers, consultants, educators, researchers and family enterprise members who help perpetuate transgenerational family business wealth.
The Barbara Hollander Award is named for the late founder and first president of FFI. The award recognizes professionals who are significantly engaged in the education, study and understanding of the family and social dynamics of family business. Award recipients are honored for exemplifying Hollander’s love of education and learning, lifelong commitment to social causes, dedication to civic responsibility, belief in the human capacity to change for the better and belief in giving to others generously.
Caro Rock is the daughter-in-law of
Family Business
Magazine’s late founder, Milton L. Rock. She works alongside her husband, Robert H. Rock, the chairman of MLR Holdings, which owns media and business-to-business information companies. MLR’s media properties include

Directors & Boards
and
Private Company Director
magazines. Their son William U. Rock is president of MLR Holdings.
Prior to joining
Family Business
, Caro Rock was the founder and publisher of
Main Line Life,
a newspaper published by Montgomery Newspapers, formerly part of MLR Holdings. She is involved in numerous non-profit organizations and currently serves on the boards of Thomas Jefferson University and the Rock School for Dance Education, where she held the chairmanship for 15 years.
