President, Finfrock Design-Manufacture-Construct
Robert D. Finfrock is the Owner/President of Finfrock Design-Manufacture-Construct, a design-builder of commercial buildings utilizing precast/prestressed concrete structures. By totally integrating architecture, engineering, general contracting and precast concrete manufacturing within one firm, he has created a company that is totally unique in the construction industry and is dominating his chosen markets. Robert has transformed his engineered products business to a level where profits exceed prior sales levels and growth continues at double-digit rates. The principles for this transformation are the basis for Beyond Price, a competitive strategy business book he co-authored.
Robert has served as the Chairman of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute and has been named a Fellow of both the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute and the American Concrete Institute. The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute named him as a “Titan” of their industry and one of their 50 most influential people of the past 50 years. His other organizational achievements include Chairman of the Central Florida Builders Exchange and their Credit Union, President of the Florida Prestressed Concrete Association, and President of ACI’s Central Florida Chapter. Robert has been an active participant and leader in many local, professional and industry organizations and a member of various governing boards.
Robert’s educational and professional credentials include a Bachelor of Engineering degree in 1965 from Vanderbilt University, Nashville TN and an MBA in 1971 from Rollins College, Crummer Graduate School of Business. He holds Professional Engineering and Certified General Contractor licenses from the State of Florida.
Robert was born in Orlando, Florida in 1943 where he has continued to live while raising his family, which includes his wife of 45 years, Ginny, his three sons, Allen, Bill and Dan, all of whom have joined him in running the Finfrock companies and his daughter Linda. His leisure interests include flying his 1943 Stearman biplane and SeaRey amphibian airplane; reading in economics, physics, marketing and management; swimming, travel, wood carving, building airplanes and photography. But probably his favorite activity is spending time with his eight grandchildren, who range in age from 1 to 11.
