Jill Shipley
Head of Governance and Education, AlTi Tiedemann Global
Jill has dedicated over 20 years to helping families, family offices, foundations and family enterprises navigate the unique opportunities and challenges that arise with significant financial wealth. Her experience includes past roles at Cresset Capital and the Institute for Family Culture at Abbot Downing.
An in-demand speaker and author, Jillโs ideas have appeared in books such as Reshaping Reality, Family Office Fundamentals, Wealth of Wisdom and Kids, Wealth and Consequences, and in media such as the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Trust & Estates Magazine, Barronโs and Financial Advisor. She is also an educator, having developed curricula on philanthropy, family governance and other personal financial topics and taught courses at Stetson Universityโs School of Business and the University of Pennsylvaniaโs Wharton Executive Education Wealth Management Program.

Erik Christoffersen
Head of Family Office Practice, AlTi Tiedemann Global
Erik has direct responsibility for managing client relationships and overseeing the strategy for all wealth and investment-related matters. He is the senior relationship manager for several large families and family offices. He leads the strategic planning for these families, acts as the chief client advocate within the firm and is responsible for building out the AlTi team, as well as engaging with outside talent to assemble a strong team to service the needs of each client. Erik is also a senior member of the firmโs business development team and is a regular contributor to the firmโs thought leadership and insights pieces.
Having been a wealth management client since the early 2000s, Erik saw an opportunity to leverage his learnings and experience and transitioned from the tech sector to the advisor-side of wealth management in 2013. Erik has over 25 years of experience in strategy, fund raising, sales and business development with several technology companies including IBM and numerous Silicon Valley start-ups. Erik was also a management consultant at IBM and Symmetrix and served as the Executive Director for the non-profit, San Francisco Museum and Historical Society.
Erik is an active investor in real estate, cyber security, wearables, clean tech, medical devices and other technology start-ups. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

David Shaw
Publishing Director, Family Business Magazine
David Shaw is the publishing director for MLR Media. He also co-founded and serves as conference director of the Transitions conferences, the Private Company Governance Summit and Family Business Legacy. David writes frequently on governance issues for public and private companies, and develops and maintains close relationships with multi-generational family-owned businesses. He is married, with two grown children.
