Sheetz announces its succession plan




Sheetz, the family-owned convenience store chain,

has announced

that Joe S. Sheetz will become president and CEO in October 2013. Stan Sheetz, the current president and CEO, will move to the chairman’s post. Joe Sheetz, who joined the company in 1995 as director of personnel, is currently executive vice president of finance and store development.

Stan Sheetz will replace Steve Sheetz as chairman. Steve Sheetz will become chairman of the Sheetz Family Council, a newly created position. He will remain as chairman of CLI Transport, the dedicated fuel carrier for Sheetz stores, and will remain on the Sheetz board of directors.

Sheetz, based in Altoona, Pa., has 430 stores in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio and North Carolina and $6.3 billion in annual revenue.
