Comcast’s Brian Roberts aims to be ‘major media mogul’




Comcast CEO Brian Roberts, 54, “has always wanted to be seen as a major media mogul in the mold of [Liberty Media Corp. chairman] Malone or Viacom Inc. Chairman Sumner Redstone,”

a Bloomberg report noted,

citing anonymous sources.

If regulators approve Comcast’s purchase of Time Warner Cable, Roberts will have spent at least $136 billion on acquisitions, the report noted.
