Tom Smyth and his two cousins, Bob Smyth and Leonard “Buzz” Getschel, will serve as co-presidents. Fourth-generation member Bab Yanega was promoted to CFO.

Mark Motes, the former CEO, and John Jackson, who had been vice president of operations, have left the company. Tom Smyth characterized it as a “friendly departure,” the article said. Motes joined the company 19 years ago; Jackson was hired 16 years ago, the report said.

The cousins had run the company for years before stepping back after Motes and Jackson were hired, the article said.

Under the previous leadership, the company opened 11 Pandora stores and eight gold-buying locations. These have since been sold. The company now runs three Smyth stores in Timonium, Ellicott City and Annapolis and employs 140 people, the article said. (Source:
