And has a Certificate in Family Business Advising (CFBA) from the Family Firm Institute.
Ahmie and his wife, Sara, have 3 children and two granddaughters; they live in Pittsburgh and Sarasota. He has found yoga, meditation, and plant-based eating to enhance his values of health, love, and gratitude. He enjoys wood turning, golf, reading, music and biking as well as time with family and friends. He and Sara are very active within the charitable community.

Brian Baum is the CEO and President of Interchange Capital Partners, where he leads the development of innovative strategies tailored to the unique needs of private and multigenerational companies.
He believes that at its core exit planning combines the plan, concept, effort and process into a clear, simple strategy to build a business that is transferable through strong human, structural, customer and social capital. Brian is also the president of the Pittsburgh Exit Planning Chapter, which he helped found in 2019. He graduated from Penn State with a bachelorโs degree in psychology and a minor in business. He is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor and a CFP.

David Shaw

David Shaw is the publishing director for MLR Media. He also co-founded and serves as conference director of the Transitions conferences, the Private Company Governance Summit and Family Business Legacy.
David writes frequently on governance issues for public and private companies, and develops and maintains close relationships with multi-generational family-owned businesses. He is married, with two grown children.
